A quick note...

We wish to apologize to all our furfriends for not leaving comments in the past days. Poopie and I wish that we can now say that we will resume blogging but unfortunately, we can't. Not yet, anyway. *insert very sad faces*

Manang is still sick today but despite that, continues to remain busy with work. She will be leaving for Bohol again tomorrow and we won't see her until the end of the week. We hope by then she gets better 'cos this lack of blogging action is boring us already.

To our friends, we miss all of you so much!! Thank you for the awards and sorry for the lack of active participations in the contests and all other events and very late unposted posts (that we promised to do eons ago).. We try as much as we can to drop by, leave comments and check in on all of you from time to time, but our Secretary's present condition, could only allow us to do so much. We love you all and we hope you will all have a wonderful week ahead... For now, allow us to share with you our picture with this fastfood icon whom (and whose products!) we all love ...

Missing everyone

Hello puppies. Aki here. We are sorry for not being able to post as promised. Unfortunately, the internet connection is dead in my sissy's house, so my brother, Prof. Heinz was not able to make posts in our behalf. To make matters worse, manang's camera went dead and she forgot to bring her battery charger so she was only able to take pictures using her phone... :(

We are pleased to note, though, that Poopie and I are doing well with our nannies in the last two days. By now, manang Tin and R' have returned from their short vacation in Ginatilan. They wowed us with stories about how fabulous the place was- from its pristine beaches to its waterfalls. I have to admit, I was a little envious. Maybe manong can bring us there when they get back from their vacation? :D

We also have a new sissy- she is a chowchow puppy named Yan Tzi. She is almost three months old and is really pretty. We hope to post pics of her and updated pics of our family here.

And oh! Do you still remember our story last Christmas about our handsome Chowchow brother named Guan Long, whom we shaved because he had mange? Well we are so proud to say that he is very well now and mange free. His lovely mane grew back and it is fluffier than ever! Woooofy!!

Remind me to make a mental note and ask Guan Long about his fur regrowing secret so that I, too, can regrow my fur in no time!

We hope that everyone is doing well. We are especially praying for those who were badly affected by earthquake in Italy. Stay safe everyone! We miss you all!

Tomorrow...

...we will finally get to watch 'Marley & Me'... whew! I know it was shown in some states/ countries waaaayyy back in December, but it will only be shown here tomorrow. My manang, manong, manang R and manang Tin and some friends would watch the show together tomorrow night. Of course, aside from manang who had read the book, their main reason for watching the movie is the fact that Marley is a Labrador and his antics remind them a lot of a certain someone so close to their hearts... *feigning ignorance*

We are sorry for not being able to visit all of our puppy friends as often or leave comments in all your posts. Our secretary's schedule is just mad, mad, maaaddd, with meetings, conferences and all that boring la-de-da day in and day out. We will be blogging lengthily on Thursday to officially start with My True Colourrs Thursday (thank you Blue- for allowing us to join and Maggie and Mitch- for giving the link) and we hope to see you all by then.

Apologies

Hello there puppies... Aki and Poopie's manang here.

First off, we are very sorry for not being able to blog as often as we promised. When Poopie and I travelled home (Bacolod City), we were very hyped and wanted to give each and every pup a chance to blog. If Aki failed to mention before, we have 15 more dogs living with my parents and we wanted at least each of them to be able to share their stories.

Unfortunately, one bad thing came after the other. First, internet connection here is really bad and it is taking us minutes just to open your bloggies, thus Poopie had to contend herself with just reading your posts and not leave a comment.. :((

Secondly and more importantly, we were surprised to learn that a mange outbreak took place and sadly affected most of the dogs. One could just imagine dealing with 15 healthy dogs.. but dogs with mange?

If anything, we are relieved that only 3 are severly affected- Jhudora our senior Aspin dog (mutt) and her daughter Cadness and Guan Long our male chowchow. Our other senior dog, just recovered from mange and we are striving to isolate the source.

Yesterday, we decided to shave off all of Guan Long's fur in order to better treat the infected areas. We also brought him to the vet this morning since he had the worst mange infestation. Thankfully, the vet informed that he is negative with sarcoptic mange and just need deligent treatment. He was given Ivomec and ADE shots and will be taking in itch relievers alongside other vitamins like Vit. E and Ascorbic Acid. Aki's manong3 and manong2 i.e. my brothers will bring him back after 2 weeks for a follow-up check-up.

Tomorrow, we will be busy building more doggie fences to separate the other dogs from the unaffected ones. We might consider shaving off the fur of all the other furry dogs (Prof. Heinz and Caocao) to check for hidden mange too.

I am a little perturbed at this occurence because we never had mange infestations before. We don't know exactly what the catalyst for this was and we hope that by isolating each of the dogs we can put an end to this. Poopie and I have approximately 6 more days before our vacation ends and we have to work doubly hard to make substantial improvements here.

We miss all of you and we are wishing and each and everyone of our doggie friends a Blessed 2009 filled with good health, happiness, tranquility and love.

oh! News from Cebu-- Aki is doing fine with his nanny. Kuya Emer's family adores him and the kids and their dad accompanies him to do his 'business' everday. He is also getting lots of love from the (human) ladies so we are at least happy for that piece of good news.

We are Back...

.... and off again.. :(

Manang just came back from Bohol yesterday after being stranded due to the typhoon, but she will be going to Manila now this afternoon for another business trip and will be back on Wednesday yet (paws crossed).
