My Ball

This is MY Ball
All dripped in my drooly trademark.
A certified and unmistakable property of mine

manang gave it to me as a gift.
It is a mini colorful soccer ball,
not like the one used in the games that Cody fancies,
but it is just perfect to keep me trim and tired.

It fits conveniently in my massive paws.
and can easily fit into my powerful jaws.
It somehow helps in removing the build-up of tartar- or not.
but still, it is my ball- my prized gift.

I play with it.
Inside the house and outside the house,
but always under human supervision.
My hoomans and I play fetch with it.
It makes for the perfect bonding instrument.

Even when I sleep I see my ball
even if it appears as a blur.
The unconscious dog in me keeps an ever watchful eye.
For it is afterall, without any shadow of a doubt,
even for a sleepingdog,
still MINE.

And so the sun rises and sets like this:

Aki: Playing rambunctiously with ball
Poopie: Bored to her wits

Aki: scooting off like a soccer superstar
Poopie: Even more bored and yet silently scheming a heist

Scheming…

And then she’s off!!

Lay off manong Aki! This ball is mine!

It’s inside my bed cage, it’s MINE!!

I said go away, you fat cow!!

There was no way I am giving up without a fight.
Alas, prepare yourself Pooper Scooper…
