The Bed Potato

The Bed Potato
by The Pooper Scooper

Manang arrived early last Saturday from her business trip
and she brought us NOTHING.
As in- NADA.
The only thing i can associate to her return are those snores and zzzzs
which lasted us the entire Saturday.

The sun was shy to come out last Sunday.
Dark clouds were lingering in the sky.
It was a cold day.
and i can't think of anything better
but to load up on my vitamin zzzzs as well

Poopie, wake up.

manong, can I still sleep some more?
It's too early.
I'll just wake up when the sun is up.

Please stop using your camera flash on me.

I know how real sunlight feels like.

But the sun will never be up today, Poopie.

Dogs needs their sleep,
it makes us look cool
and don't forget youthful

Have you ever seen a dog with wrinkles?
or eye bags?

Sister Kim Tzi in Bacolod City

it wouldn't hurt if you throw in a nice cushioned bed, too

a nice fluffy house,

regular dose of belly rubs

Kim Tzi sleeping inside manong3's room

and lots and lots of UNINTERRUPTED TIME to roll around

and just be our bed potato selves

I look so small when compared to my brother :)

Aki: hrrrmmm.. uhmm... *insert snorting pig sound here*

now this is one dog who is satisfied with her sleep

Magic Acts and Business Trips

Hellow there everyfurball. We might not be able to do our blogging duties for the next few days since our manang will be on a business trip to Bohol for the rest of the week...

And in case you don't know where it is.

These are just some of the things that had made it so famous.

the Chocolate Hills is a unique landscape that is scattered all over the island of Bohol. They are called chocolate hills because they turn brown during summer when the tree leaves and grass starts to wilt. During rainy days they are green just like the ones above.

cute eh? This is a Tarsier- the world's smallest primate. They are nocturnal creatures and are very territorial. The best place to view these creatures is in the protected areas of Corella, Bohol.

this is the renowned Loboc River. One can enjoy their lunch while abode the bancas. The trip will last for one hour and tourists will be treated to the spectacular view of the Green River, which is considered as one of the Philippines' cleanest body of water.

Bohol is also known for its pristine beaches. The Amarela is one of the fast rising tourist favorites. One can experience a luxurious vacation at affordable prices. This resort is also rich in Bohol's culture because it makes use of hand-made local antiques and ornaments.

Which brings me back to my original post.

Here is moi doing my crocodile interpretation...

Also presenting

The Pooper Scooper as Hairy Houndini

have a happy, fun-filled weekend everyfurball.

Friends, Fears and More Pasta Parties

Pasta Party No. 2
Theme: Carbonara Day
When: September 24, 2008

Manang Tin peemailed manong while manong peemailed manang and manang peemailed no one, and so it had been an afternoon of pure peemailing bliss before we got the part 2 of our Pasta Party started.

I managed to hack the hooman’s emails thru the help of my Spy sister, at it went something like..

Dy, kaon kamo sa balay ha? maluto kami carbonara
(Prof. Heinz’ translation: Dy, eat at home, ok? We will cook carbonara)

Ok a.
(Okay)

Bakal na lang kamo dayon tinapay kay wala kami ka bakal, palihog hambal kay Mich
(Buy bread also because we were not able to buy, please tell Mich)

And so the hoomans went home,
Bringing their pasta deprived appetites
They replenished our sack of doggie meal,
Minus the Jetepar*,
And never forgot about the bread, too.

(Note from the Inu Ogler: we had to look for Poopie’s “Jetepar” per The Secretary’s and the Animal Doctor’s suggestion. Unfortunately, it was not sold in the pharmacy and the pet shop. It was during this time that Poopie was under medication after their bloody bout with the Evil Ticks from Down Under. Poopie just finished her Recovery Diet from the day before and so, we decided to give her boiled eggs, instead.)

Oooohh.. so many guests. And so many things to be excited about. Tita Jenny, manang’s officemate and Mommy Secretary’s sister brought some goodies for us from Manila.

Manang bought me a leash from Greenwoods Pet Clinic and THIS was Moymoy’s choice of color.

Don’t I look mighty handsome, Mommy Lilli?

I had some droolicious treat in a tube!
And my Mommy Lilli gave ME some extra bacon treats, too.
Thank you so much, mommy!

(Note from the inu ogler: Aki thinks that the toothpaste is also a ‘treat’ since it is poultry flavored. I’ve been having a difficult time brushing his teeth without the toothpaste being licked to Neverland.)

What’s this? Why are these hoomans huddled in that table when I am right here?

Manang tin is the only one paying attention to Aki

Manang tin, Can’t you see me?

I was initially placed in my usual corner because Ms. Clavel, manang Tin and R’s officemate, supposedly had a traumatic experience with a dog.

“Oh pooh!” Poopie snorted.

Ms. Giselle with Poopie

She had already recovered slowly and was cuddled tightly in the arms of my new friend, Ms. Giselle. Ms. Giselle loves dogs. She even asked manang if she can have Poopie *eherm* sired by her poodle.

“Heavens, NO!”

I heard the woof woman exclaiming in astonishment.

“She is still a puppy and there is no way that she will be allowed to have her own puppies very soon!”

Tsk tsk.. silly, over protective manangs.

Aki was forcing a kiss from Ms. Giselle

Oh! Oh! .. I hear camera clicks.

The hooman guests with Manang R (black Jersey)

But what good is a picture without the podsings of the Ilonggo House?
Manong, come close, I have a drooly brilliant idea.

And so we started our doggie trauma therapy session sans Prof. Heinz, who was in Bacolod City.

Manang had to explain the proper way of approaching and reaching out to a furry (and drooly gorgeous) stranger.

manang: Aki is a good boy, promise.

Everyone gave their assurance and testaments on how angelic, well-behaved and ultra cool I am.

Ah! Hard as a stick of bones.

manang: unless you are a living spaghetti sauteed rawhide, he won't bite you

The hooman wont budge.
She was deathly afraid of my handsome Labrador body.

manag tin: his fur is like cotton candy

In the end we weren’t able to get rid of her trauma entirely. (she chose the smallest fear-conquering alternative)

Ms. Clavel with Poopie

Nevermind.

At least we were able to get these.

They did say that the first step is always the hardest. Who's trembling in fear now?

Woofy to Ms. Clavel for Conquering her Doggie Trauma!

Finally convinced Ms. Clavel to give Aki a pat in the back :)

Not bad for my first practice as a doggie trauma therapist.

Now, is there any one in need of some Koykoy lovin'?

Our First Pasta Party

We weren’t able to post about our first Pasta Party since manang had been such a lazy (not to mention, demented) woof woman lately, so we will be posting it today.

Pasta Party No. 1
Theme: Spaghetti Day
When: September 9, 2008

We woke up very early in the morning with the aroma of spaghetti sauce lingering throughout the Ilonggo House. One of our hoomans, manang Rhoda ( manang R’) is a known spaghetti authority while manang is a known spaghetti dispenser, and it was one of those blessed days.

Before digging in, it’s always best to start with a prayer.

“Bless us O’ Lord in these thy gifts
Which we dogs and humans,
are about to receive from Thy bounty,
thru Christ Our Lord
Amen.”

Itadakimasu!!!

(a japanese expression used before eating. usually means, 'let's eat'. this had formed part of manang and manong's habit)

Manong said it was Poopie’s monthly birthday, and so in the spirit of giving,

Poopies first.

Yummy… Now I know why these silly hoomans celebrate Spaghetti Day.

It’s my turn again manong Aki

I’d normally give in and let the little Poopster gobble her way through my food
(Poopie’s Note: Right. *rolls eyes*)

but manang said it’s always better to SHARE.

Not to mention, manong promised to give me a ‘popo’ if I will be a good boy.

Now, about that promise that you made manong…

How about a big fat kiss instead, Aki?

You know I won’t accept any excuses.

Woofffy!

That’s more like it.

(Note from The Inu Ogler: Aki’s ‘popo’ lasted for only a few seconds. These were the only pictures taken before manong’s arms wilted and gave up on his weight.)

Doggie Court Update: Poopie and Aki in Exile

Doggie Dreams in Exile
By the Pooper Scooper

September 27, 2008
Saturday

I joined manong Aki in exile to Manang’s room last Saturday night. Manong Aki had been sleeping there for more than a week now. The Hall of Doggone Justice made that ruling after my manong sought for temporary relief from his worsening sniffles.

Upon arriving at Manang's room
An hour later
(Thanks to the Tick Alarm Episode last weekend, we were out on bail for a few days.)

The news was relayed to me by the Presiding Judge, who refused to be identified, for his protection. Excerpts of the said decision were as follows:

“…That Mr. Achilles Wong and Ms. Poopie du Claun shall be held in exile from Mr. Manong’s room every Tuesdays to Saturdays or in the case of their non-weekly baths, starting on the 3rd day of their last bath..

….That during the time of exile, they shall sleep in the room of Ms. Manang, and shall continue to do so until they are given a bath.”

Manong Aki and I feel especially sad. Since the time we arrived in the Ilonggo House, we had been sleeping with my manong. We don’t enjoy sleeping with manang (her room is in the 2nd floor) because we do not fancy the idea of going up and down the long flights of stairs.

Not to mention, her mattress is not exactly within reach. Where would we rest our fluffy little heads?

And how about our routine? I’m already so used to laying my head bellow manong’s feet. I love to sleep there. It was where manong Aki used to sleep when he was still not a cow.

Manong sleeps in a Japanese- style mattress. We sleep inside his room always, except for two or three occasions when he can no longer take the sniffles. You see, manong has a bad case of allergies and always ends up sneezing the whole week when our doggie smell starts to blow out of proportion. It even worsens when manong Aki’s cottony soft fur circulates inside his room.

Inside Manong's Room

My manang had been very happy about the ruling though. She gave us a pillow and some sheets to sleep on. She even brings my sleeping cage and our doggie dish inside the room so we would feel at home. On more desperate occasions, she encourages manong Aki to climb up her bed and sleep with her. I can’t be trusted with a bed, except manong’s bed now. I peed on his bed three times before… hihihi

I heard manang complaining about not getting enough sleep during manong Aki’s first two nights, though. He woke her up really early. And she had to wake up every time my manong Aki shifts his sleeping position because she is afraid he’ll poo or pee. Call it Paranoia. Silly hoomans.

Aki by 12 Midnight
Aki by 1: 00 AM
Aki by 2:00 AM

3:00 AM until 6:00 AM

She doesn’t have to worry about manong Aki peeing though. I already peed on his behalf.
